SIDPLAY a Commodore 64-based music player. It emulates the soundchip and other internals on the Commodore 64 to play back music that was written on it. This music is called SID music because the sound chip was known as the "Sound Interface Device" (or SID). The SID chip is essentially a three-voice synthesizer embedded on a chip. Its distinctive sound is due to the unusual combination of analogue and digital circuitry.
