About Perian For MAC

Perian, an open-source QuickTime component, allows Apple Inc.'s QuickTime software to play many popular video formats that are not natively supported by QuickTime on macOS. It was a combination of several other open-source components based on the multiplatform FFmpeg Project's libavcodec, libavformat as well as liba52/libmatroska.
