Manpower provides an OS X graphical user interface for the main Unix software documentation system, the man page. Man pages provide concise, but detailed descriptions of the functionality and procedures of various Unix command line programs. There may be hundreds of these programs installed on a Unix system. You can access Man pages by simply typing "man program" in the Unix terminal. "Program" is the name of the Unix tool that you are looking for.
Although this method is efficient, it does have its limitations. It is difficult to read the documentation in Unix console. The type is often very small and can only be viewed one screen at a given time. This makes scrolling and skimming tedious. Manpower offers a simple and elegant interface with three panes that makes it easy to read man pages.
