Listening Eye Trainer offers two methods to improve pitch recognition skills. The Singing Funnel Method is the first. It randomly selects notes for you to sing. You must sing the notes with increasing precision. The funnel is wide open at the beginning. You may be more than 2 notes off but still reach that level. The funnel narrows as you go on. Once you have achieved accuracy of a quarter-step, you will be able to identify notes with the precision required to distinguish them in our 12 half step scales. The second method, The Octave Anchor Pitches Method, does not require you sing. First, you will need to recognize five notes that are one octave apart. These are the C2,C3, C4, and C5 notes. Next, add other notes. Next, you will add notes G2, G3, G4, G5, and G5. You will add notes to the exercises one by one until you have covered all of them. Both methods begin with simple exercises that are easy to understand. The computer provides feedback and keeps track, so you can improve your ability recognize notes.
