Grsync is a rsync GUI, or Graphical User Interface. Rsync, the powerful command-line directory and file synchronization tool, is well-known. Grsync uses the GTK libraries. It is also released under the GPL license. It does not require the gnome libraries to function, but it can run fine under gnome. It can be used to synchronize local directories, and it supports remote targets (even though it does not support browsing the remote folder). Grsync can be used to backup files, synchronize music collections with removable devices, replicate a partition, mirror files, and many other uses.
