FunctionFlip It turned out to be the solution. I like the media keys on my MacBook keyboard, but not all of them. I'm a fat-fingered person, so I often skip tracks when I want to pause. I use the volume and brightness keys every day so disabling all keys is not an option.
FunctionFlip allows you to control the function keys of your Macbook Pro or Macbook Pro. It can turn special keys back into regular F-keys or vice versa.
FunctionFlip requires that you check "Enable access to assistive devices" on the Universal Access pane of System Preferences.
