About Disk Drill For MAC

Disk Drill can be purchased in two versions: a free/basic version and a pro version for $99.

DiskDrill is a Mac-specific data recovery software that protects your files from accidental deletion. It can also recover deleted data from Mac disks. Supported are most file types, storage devices, and file systems. You can recover files deleted from iPhones and Android devices. Disk Drill provides useful and free tools for disk administration such as duplicate file finder and byte-to byte backups, disk cleanup, space visualization, bootable drive, disk health monitoring, and disk cleanup.

Recovery Vault allows you to retrieve deleted files as well as their properties like original file name, location, and so on. You will always be able recover data from Mac files (HFS/HFS+ and FAT32 partitions). Disk Drill also features powerful S.M.A.R.T. Disk Drill comes with disk monitoring. You can monitor the status of your disks and receive notifications about potential failures. You can backup a disk or partition that is experiencing problems into a disk image (DMG), which can be later mounted for recovery.

Disk Drill PRO offers advanced scanning options for data recovery from FAT, NTFS and HFS/HFS+ file systems, as well as formatted (initialized), drives. Quick Scan can locate deleted items on FAT or NTFS disks. This scanning method is fast but unlikely to find long-lost data. Deep Scan can be used to retrieve data from any memory card or disk, regardless of the file system. This recovery method is thorough and takes a long time. It scans your disk in binary mode and can find deleted files even after formatting.
